Located in Chalk Sound, Vieux Caribe is located about 20 mins from the airport. Chalk Sound is a primarily residential area, far from resorts or tourist areas. You won't see bannana boat rides in the water, or parasailing in the skies. There won't be much in the way of foot traffic or shopping in your location. Privacy, beautiful views, with peace and quite are what will be guarenteed. A rental car will be necessary to explore the island.
With one the of best tapas restaurants on the island, Las Brisas, located in Chalk Sound, and the option of concierge service which can include stocking your luxury villa with the basic foodstuffs, to the best wines the island has to offer, you may just opt to make this a 'lazy holiday'. Choose to have one of the many catering companies supply you with a fabulous meal featuring unique local Turks & Caicos dishes found no where else. Chalk Sound also features it own liquor store and small food store, but for the most part this is not a commercial area.
If you do choose to explore Providenciales, renting a car is your best alternative. Colourful, magical shops in Blue Hills allow you can experience fabulous hand crafted items from local artisians to island food on the beach, such as conch friters and plantain. Blue Hills is one of the oldest settlements on the island of Providenciales.
Experience the bustle of Grace Bay, with exclusive art and jewelry shops, wine bars and restaurants that range from italian to thai. This is a modern primarily commercial centre. Everything is at your fingertips here in Provo.
Water Sports abound on the island which features the world's third largest reef. 'Diving the wall' is a rite of passage for many open water divers, only available on the island of Provo. But for the less adventurous there are 'snorkel parks' which are protected areas (from motor craft) and unique experiences such as SNUBA or glass bottomed submarines.
With a car, you can get 'everywhere' on providenciales within 40mins. Including Heaving Down Rock, where you can catch a ferry to North Caicos. We can offer advice on all experiences that the Turks & Caicos has to offer, just ask!
